German WW2 Tropical Canteen Strap .75 and 1 Liter

This Canteen strap will fit either the standard .75 liter canteen or the 1 liter canteen. It is faithfully copied from an original in my collection this does not include a cap. If you have a cap you want to instal just remove the pin at the top with a small punch. Place the pin through the eye then tap the pin back into the cap. Then turn it over and flatten what is left of the pin protruding through. It doesn't take much to secure it.  The hook has rawhide reinforcements and these were seen in every theater of the war not just in Afrika. The canteen in the pictures is not included it is just for reference. Made in USA
