Tam Ky; Map #6640-II; Series L7014
Here is an original 1:50,000 military combat map dated 1969, updated December 1971.
It is not a copy, nor a reproduction.
It is the real deal, very rare, and an important piece of military history.
This is the map that connects on its right side to the Binh Son map.
    I will deduct 10%, i
f you buy both maps.  The Quang Ngai map connects below the Binh Son map and includes the Batangan Peninsula (Operation Starlite).  If you buy all 3 maps, I will deduct 20%.  See my other listings.
The map pictured is the map you get.
The Que Son Valley was a dangerous, much fought over area.  It is home to numerous military operations.
It was here that Father Capodanno, a Navy Chaplain serving with the Marines, gave his last full measure of devotion and was awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously.
In the mountains south of the valley you will find Hill 488 where SSGT Jimmie E. Howard's 18 Recon Marines (every man was wounded; 6 were killed) fought off 250 Viet Cong.  SSGT Howard was awarded the Medal of Honor.
This map shows the locations of:
