    Description

Two trench art vases from World War 1.
They measure about 9 inches tall, 3 1/2 inches across the base and 3 inches across the top.
Hammered with a tulip on each one, the background is dotted with a scallop border top and bottom.
One has Reims hammered over the tulip stem.
The bottom is stamped st (strengthened case); GFSP 246 (Geschoss Fabrik, Spandau); JAN 1916 (produced January 1916); SP197 (inspection numbers).
One has 14 - 19 (?) hammered over the tulip stem.
The bottom is stamped st (strengthened case); GFSP 153 (Geschoss Fabrik, Spandau); MRZ 1915 (produced March 1915); SP4 (inspection numbers).
In very nice vintage condition, there is some residue on both vases, one has a couple of small places towards the top where the artist hammered through.
Great dark patina, they could be polished to bring back the brass color.
Please look at the photos for more details.
They will be shipped USPS Priority Mail insured.
Feel free to e-mail with any questions.
