    Description

For sale is a reproduction WWII Enigma machine patch panel, also called a steckerbrett or plug board.  It is made of Perspex plastic, 26 printed alphabet letters, and both large (4mm hole) and small (3mm hole) 6061 aluminum input jacks.  All input jacks are held in place by a small M6 nut on the back.  The face of the patch panel is in the Army, Enigma I format.  The input jacks are for Army steckers:  DO NOT remove them to put them in your Navy M1, M2, M3 or other Enigma replica if you are trying to build a working replica.  Army input jacks are smaller than Navy input jacks, and may cause damage to your project.  This patch panel has 10 M3.2 holes to attach it to the front of your replica.  The patch panel measures 253mm x 86.7 x 3mm and weighs 10 ounces with box, bubble wrap and foam peanuts.  An original patch panel had two 2mm "ears" on the very upper left and right sides, extending the width to 257mm, and the panel was only 2mm thick.  This patch panel lacks the two extra input jacks required to test the steckers using the later version isolator plate.
