    Description

You're bidding on an original Japanese Taisho Enthronement silver medal. Please take care in examining the photos for the condition of this medal as it's the exact one you're bidding on. It comes in its orignal box (rare). The medal shows age tarnishing.
While the Taisho Emperor ascended to the throne in 1912, the ceremonies for this enthronement didn't take place until 1915. This medal commemorates that 1915 event. The medal is made of silver with an attached gilt chrysanthemum. The obverse features two imperial banners with "Banzai" written on them. The reverse is inscribed with "Taisho 4 (1915) November, Enthronement Commemorative Medal".
